Commitment to Equity in Lactation Care

At Brandywine Lactation, I believe every family deserves feeding support that feels safe, affirming, and accessible. I stand in solidarity with Black and LGBTQ+ IBCLCs, whose leadership and voices are vital in shaping more equitable lactation care.

I am committed to listening, learning, and using our platform to help amplify their work—and to supporting organizations dedicated to improving Black breastfeeding rates and providing affirming care for LGBTQ+ families.

Every family deserves to be seen, supported, and empowered in their feeding journey.

Brandywine Lactation will be donating a portion of proceeds to organizations dedicated to improving Black breastfeeding rates and supporting LGBTQ+ families in their feeding journeys.

Brandywine Lactation is dedicated to creating equitable access to high-quality lactation care. In recognition of the barriers many families face in receiving support, a limited number of sliding scale appointments are reserved each month for families from historically underserved communities. Inquire privately for current availability and eligibility.

Insurance & Reimbursement

While Brandywine Lactation is a private/pay-at-time-of-service practice (out-of-network for most insurance plans), we believe financial policy should not stand in the way of getting the care you need. Therefore:

  • You will receive a detailed, itemized superbill following each visit, including all necessary provider information (e.g. IBCLC credentials, NPI, service codes) to submit to your insurance or health plan for possible reimbursement. Many insurance plans do offer full or partial reimbursement.

  • Payment with HSA / FSA cards is welcome.

  • Because every insurance plan differs, insurance reimbursement is not guaranteed. I encourage you to contact your insurer prior to your appointment to confirm your benefits under “out-of-network lactation support” and to ask what documentation they require.

  • If needed, I’m happy to talk you through the superbill process so you feel confident submitting it.

This week, I made space for the things that bring me joy outside of lactation work — the little rituals and moments that refill my own cup. ✨

As parents and caregivers, balance isn’t always easy to find. But it’s essential. Finding One thing about me — I’ll always treat your family like my own.
Building trust is at the heart of what I do. Every visit, every plan, every follow-up is rooted in evidence-based care and genuine support.
